Music and it's amazingness..

My obsession of music is growing and growing, especially music that is under the ground, meaning it's not well known/isn't chart. This isn't me trying to be all cool and Indie, this year i've just been exploring music and different artists and different genre's of music. Of course some of my favourite songs still lye in the hands of Taylor Swift, Avril Lavigne, Pink and Lady Gaga. But it's cool to come across artists with unique sounds, intricate voices and different sounds.

I've recently bought the album 'First Days Of Spring' By Noah and The Whale, 'I speak Because I can' Laura Marling, 'Helpness Blues' By Fleet Foxes and pre ordered Benjamin Francis Leftwich's debut album! I love CD's, i've gone off downloading, mainly because we now have a CD palyer in the kitchen so I can listen to them on there, but it just makes it more real..:L

So here's some youtube links of my favourite songs from these albums, oh and i've also the song 'Found' By Hillsong on repeat the past few nights, it just speaks so well and clarify's the word beautiful to me!

Simonds Yat

 This bank holiday Monday me and my best friend travelled up to Wales and headed for Simonds Yat, an amazing spot where you can over look beautiful views :) Ha i sound really old, but it is my favourite spot in Wales. We gazed out, thinking about all that we had been through, as it had been exactly a year (well, maybe one day out) since we last travelled up there. We repeated tradition and each bought another bird badge from the RSPB stand. I bought a Great Tit to go with my Blackbird and Toni bought a Peregrine Falcon to go with her Osprey. Our inner birds we call them, as they sum up our personalities perfectly :) Here are some pictures from the day!

I'm luvin textiles! and now motorbikes...and ANTONY HEAD!

Today has been fabbbbulouss! It began by going to visit an 'Endangered Madasgascar Exhibition' opening in Bath with My friend Beth, and guess who was cutting the ribbon..the one and only ANTONY HEAD. i love him so mcuh, i still remember him as Giles from Buffy The Vampire, and he doesn't look a day older! AND he came over to tal to us, i was so starstruck! But kept a BEAMING smile on my face whilst talking to him! I got to talk to Antony Head about endangered madagascar, my dream topic convosation :P

Went home and made my top for textiles, on the theme of sunset, not sure how well i bought this across exactly, BUT i really like and very happy with it :) Here are some photo's, sorry about the Blue Mannequin :L 

The back is half netting, at the top of the top, and the bottom half the the same print on Satin, but darker :) And the tassels are pieces of embrodery thread, representing the rays of the sun :)

And then later on my dad came over on his motorbike and we went for a drink at a pub in Schcombe, a cute little village where I went to primary school (up to year 2). I just loveee the bik,e i love the excelling speed, the rush you get when you're on it! I really want for myself, despite everyone saying how dangerous it is, I am fearless!
