White Sky

I came across this song a while back and loved it so much that I bought the whole Vampire Weekend albulm, named Contra. The image I get when listening to this song is millions of cute little white bunnies, covering a field, stood on their hind legs, all singing the chorus 'ahhwoo, ahwoo, awoohohoo'. Funny what images you get from listening to songs!

I also decided the other day, whilst passing a bunch of daffodils that when i'm older, i would like to live in a field full of daffodils, in a hosue of course. And yes, i know that daffodils only come by in seasons, but in the meantime i will just buy lots of flowers :) I think that would be cute.

The wonders of Look Books

So yesturday after college, I made my way to the library, and created a great post, however somehow, something went wrong and well it basically got deleted, which is REALLY annoying because i was rather proud of it..maybe that's why it got deleted!

So my post for yesturday was about Look Books, i stumbled my way onto the website ( http://lookbook.nu/ ) and basically loved almost every look, however there were two that really stood out to me:

What drew me into this image was the darkness to the innocence. A combination that you don't always come across. The darkness is refelcted in the mood and background of the image, yet the model is standing in an inncoencent way, she holds a deep secret that no one would ever guess because of her innocent persona. I love the styling that has goine into this as well as the hair and makeup, natural and sweet.

This photograph I love, this girl is lost in the wildness, not a clue where she is, yet still so fashionable. The perfectly ragged look dress, with the camoflauge cardi and tough leather boots, almost as if she dressed for the occasion! The thing is, it's a great photo, but you would never come across a situation like this, yet it's still so relatable :)

Time

I  read a section of text from my pupose driven life book to my dad today, is said "Speculating on the exact timing of Christ's return to futile, because Jesus said 'No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in Heaven, nor the Son, But only the father'. Since Jesus said he didn't even know the day or hour, why should you try to figure it out? What we do know for sure is this: Jesus will not return until everyone God wants to hear the good news has heard it. Jeus said "The Good News about God's kingdom will be preached in all the world,  to every nation. Then the end will come"

So that all refering to when the world is going end, there is your answer in one simple paragraph. But what dad immediatly said when i'd finished reading out, was a question of time? He argued the fact that time was not invented until the Roman period, so therefore he knew man, as in people of not too long ago, must've written the bible. Therefore what i'd just rea out couldnt've been true has Jesus was not aware of time. That I  dis-agree with, annoylingly at the time I couldn't think of a come back. But since thinking about it, my answer would've been that God is the invetor of time, and humans discovered time, there is a HUGE difference. Jesus would've intereacted with time through Gods word. What people get confused with, is that Gods time is on a whole over scale to ours. Thats when it says at the begining the bible in Genesis "God created the universe in 7days", it doesn't mean he created it in 168hours exactly, it could've taken 168minutes or 168,000 years. Doesn't even have to 168 somehting, the point is that Gods timing is so different and we, as humans will never meant to grasp it.

Back to the dis-agreement, i'm not entirly sure how Jesus knew, maybe he didn't, he just trusted in Gods word. The diciples might've even questioned it, they might've known it, but never shared it. Who knowsss.

Things that i would greatly love to own, but i don't.

I have a folder on my laptop named, 'Things I reallly want'. And each day I shall post an item that I come across, that I would just really love to own! It might be from your average website such as topshop (well if it was, i think it would fill a few pages as there are is so much amazing clothing in topshop!) and if I can remember it, i'll post the link to that item :) won't ALWAYS be clothing... might be...a fake beard, as long as I would really love to own it! So in acount to the image above, not sure of the website, but it's beautiful and i love it, as soon as i saw this is, I immediately thought 'I MUST OWN A WHITE CARDI', something that was missing from my wardrobe!

whilst i'm here, I might as well mention that I went to see The Kings Speech today with my daddy. Such an empowering film, and I can really see why it won SO MANY awards, truely sensational and has done great justice to the British film industry. and Colin Firth performed with such truth, i love him lots :) BYE X X X

I don't understand blogs

So i'm sat here, in my kitchen, waiting for my pizza to cook and trying to suss out how to actually use this thing (the blog). As well as listening to The Fray-Never Say Never. I LOVE THE FRAY. his voice is just..beautiful :) Spent the morning working at the chairty shop, apparantly i'm a HUGE help, which is always nice ot hear!

Hardly taken off my MAX MARA coat :L i love it so much.
Read purpose driven life, chapter 34 on the bus, all about being a servant to God. Annoylingly, people who aren't christians and don't understand God would be very truned of by the word 'servent'. but it's not like we are whipped all the way to church and serve out pastors. No, no, no. It's all about serving God, to make his name look God, helping the church, the poor and needy. And most importantly, doing it with a servers heart. If you're serving at church, however during serving thinking you'd much rather be somewhere else, then that isn't serving at all. I actaully think that Go would prefere us not to serve on that case.

We have become, a veryyy, self-obsessed society. Too many people's purpose is to be sucseful in finance, family and happiness. But where does that ever get you? money will never bring happiness-might for a bit, but not much longer, soon it will all wittle away, and you'll be left with your yourself and the charechter that you have built up. and if that charecter is someone who erlies on materialsm, socialism and wealth, then you're going to end up being a nobody really. #justsayiny.

Pizza is ready now :) BYE  X X X

Hello, and welcome

Hi there. My name is Sarah Stone, fashion student, christian and guitarist. This ius my first blog, hence the hello. i have started blogs before, however i have a new determination inside of me to actually keep this one up. As whenever i do go onto blogs, I am envious of them and longing for one of my own. Well actually, come to think of it, i have many of my own, I've just forgotten all the passwords. This is just a surfaced blog as i'm not entirly sure how to handle this new interest of mine. However through time, as with everything else in life, I will grasp it, take it on, and hopefuly, just maybe, some people might actually read my blog, or, better yet..inspire them!

But, it's late(ish) now, and I'm comign up to the point of tiredness, therefore i shall be retiring for the night (what an old-fashioned saying!). Get to work (volenteer) in the chairty shop tomorrow, which i am looking forward to. Just feels good when you've finished, knowing that you've done some help/good in your day, and as my manager said, "i'm  a breath of fresh air', because, well..it's a charity shop, and i'm a teenager,  and the two don't usually combine. HOWEVER, i am seriously falling in love with them. On tuesday, whilst marking down the clothes i cam across a lovely long denim shirt,  a MAX MARA, navy coat, and funky little dress, all for only £6, has to be the best day of my week (that we are only half way into) come on, a beautiful MAX MARA coat, for only £3!
Anyways, as i was saying...Goodnight! X X X
